And by the way, children from 12 years are welcome. And you cannot bring pet(s) to La Petite Roer.

Hiking, cycling, mountain biking, and practicing water- and winter sports

to your heart's content and at all levels. You can walk straight from home into the Fens and do a round of a few kilometers or a day march with quite a few altimeters. Cycling is also attractive to everyone. You can compose your own routes with the help of numbered signposts, allowing you to cycle hundreds of kilometers on traffic-free and restricted roads.
Or you take the popular Vennbahn. With a maximum increase of 3%, it leads through the beautiful landscape of the High Fens and the Belgian and German Eifel. La Petite Roer is about halfway up the Vennbahn.
There are also plenty of challenging mountain bike routes, as evidenced by the many international off-road cycling events in the area. Winter sports are nearby and with various reservoirs in the area you will always find refreshment on hot summer days.

We are happy to advise you.

The High Fens,

also called the last wilderness of Western Europe. This rugged and sometimes inhospitable area is characterized by heathland and raised moors and by the many rivers that flow down on all sides of the plateau (highest point 694m).
It is located between Eupen, Monschau, Malmedy and Spa. Sourbrodt is located near the heart of the High Fens. The climate is colder and wetter than elsewhere in Belgium, which means that there are many special plant and animal species.

For those who prefer to look after themselves

we also rent out two holiday cottages.
One is in the garden of La Petite Roer. This is a former stable that has been converted into a holiday cottage, our charming Wild Cat Cottage, suitable for 1 to 3 people. You have a private garden there, separated from that of the B&B. And just across the border in Germany, in Monschau-Kalterherberg, we have a larger holiday home, also a former farmhouse, detached and with a large private garden. Ferienhaus am Hohen Venn is geschikt voor 1 tot 6 personen.
Going on holiday with the dog? Then take a look at the website Vakantiehuisjes in de Eifel, where you will find two more holiday homes nearby where you can go with your dog.
